YWCA Nevada held their first Stand Against Racism forum on April 24, 2015. Our panelist consisted of community leaders and police staff from the local community as well as the U.S. Marshal who was appointed by President Obama. The panelist gave their overview of racism and racial profiling and answered many questions from the audience. In particular, the parting message is that change in outcomes only happens when people stop being apathetic and get involved. "Don't be a bystander!" Based on feedback from attendees, it was a success!
